Annika,
I wish I could find the tape but it was lost in the fire. We used to do the same thing in Washington Square Park. We dressed up as Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman, Tom HAyden, Allen Ginsberg (who should be featured soon on PW)Mark Rudd, Huey Newton, WIlliam Kunstler, Tim Leary, Angela Davis, Fred HAmpton and many many others to re-inacted famous police riots, tear gassings at peace demonstrations and Police assinations of the 60's.
The Days of Rage in CHicago 1968, the murder of Fred Hampton in '69, the Kent State murders in '68, the national guard invading the U of WIsconsin in '67, Columbia University take over, the trial of the Chicago 7, and so many other wonderful examples of America' first Amendment rights in action. You girl, are too young to remember these glorious events but thanks to the perseverance of the research staff at QueTell records and the freedom of information act a two DVD set will be available soon for several equal payments of 29.99 plus shipping and handling.
See the crack Chicago Swat team pump 99 shots into Fred's little wood house shooting him while he slep and then watch as they tear it down to hide the evidence, watch as the guardsman in Ohio fall daringly to a prone position and fire off rounds at college kids without guns. Its all here for one low price and many monthly payments of 29.99. Hope to be sending you one soon!
