Jeopardy With annika, Round 22

The category is "Fuckin' Lawyers," for $500. As before, i give you the name of the lawyer, you tell me who was fucking 'em.

Casca is in the lead with $1200, Victor and Trevor have $1100 each, Phil has $500, Skippy and D-Rod have $400 each, Jasen has $300, Ken and Kyle have $200 each. Incredibly, the two Daily Doubles still haven't been found.

Ding!

Who was Lucy Mercer?

Posted by: Trevor on Aug. 5, 2005

Shit Trevor. i thought that would be harder. You have control.

Annie:

Trevor must sleep with his hand on the button and the other on Annika's Journal full time.

This could have been for $50, since it was simply whoever had a shot first.

Since I am but an occasional guesser, it is not worth a complaint, but were I a judge, I'd have written this one off.

The other guys competing for the free mug (I already have one) should be pissed.

Who said anything about a free mug?
This is for bragging rights!

Actually, Shelly, I don't think I even started answering until 1/2 way through. I'm on a hot streak, what can I say? Although being on the east coast, and starting work early, I probably didn't have much competition for being first on this one. And to even further push the notion that luck is involved, I'd never even heard of Ms. Mercer until last week.

Annika, in lieu of braggin rights, how about another pizza post?

Oh, and I'll take fash-ism for $300, please.

The fix is in.

BTW, when did FDR ever practice law?

Posted by: Casca on Aug. 5, 2005

While FDR never finished Columbia Law School, he passed the bar and practiced corporate law at Carter, Ledyard and Milburn on Wall Street. Like his idol, Woodrow Wilson, FDR never really liked law practice and quit to enter politics.

btw, i would have also accepted as a correct response Princess Martha of Norway. i just have a hunch that they did it.

...and I've been on vacation for a week, and have pretty much missed out on everything. I did sneak one (wrong) answer in, though. Logged in via dialup at juuuust the right moment.

See, if I had started this from the beginning I'd have been a contender. When's the new game begin?

Posted by: Rodger Schlong on Aug. 6, 2005

all is not lost, Rodger, there are still two daily doubles left.
